Welcome to TRI-101: Introduction to Trichology, the first course in the Holistic Trichology Practitioner Certification Program at K.I.S.S.E.D. University of Healing Arts & Sciences. This foundational course introduces students to the growing field of trichology and provides an overview of the scientific study of the hair and scalp. Students will explore the history of trichology, the responsibilities and scope of practice of a holistic trichologist, professional ethics, client expectations, and the structure of the K.I.S.S.E.D. University certification pathway. Throughout this course, students will become familiar with essential terminology, understand how hair and scalp health relate to whole-body wellness, and begin developing the critical thinking skills necessary for clinical practice. Upon successful completion, students will have a clear understanding of the profession and be prepared to continue into subsequent coursework covering anatomy, physiology, scalp disorders, microscopic analysis, herbal science, nutrition, laboratory interpretation, clinical applications, and residency training. Learning Outcomes By the end of this course students will be able to: Define trichology and its role in holistic health. Explain the responsibilities of a professional trichologist. Describe the scope of holistic trichology practice. Identify basic hair and scalp terminology. Understand professional ethics and client expectations.
