FAQ

FAQ

How long is the Trichology Training Program?

Our full Trichology Training Program is a 6-week program.

Our online program is self-paced and therefore can be completed in less than 6 weeks. Students are still required to take the 2-Day in person Clinical Training upon the completion of the online program to ensure hands-on techniques are properly performed to be successful in the field of trichology.

for in-person instruction, students will attend class 2 days per week for instruction/theory for one hour and fifty minutes per session. Students are required to complete weekly assignments and tests that must be submitted by the end of each week. The last week of class consist of Two-day hands-on clinical training, Final Exam, and white coat ceremony.  Students must attend the two-day hands-on training to receive full certification.

Do I have to pay for the 2-Day Clinical Training in addition to the 6-week program?

The 2-Day Clinical training is included in the price of the Full 6-Week Trichology Certification program.

Virtual Learners who only register for the Level 1 - Associate trichologist Course, but desire to become a Certified Trichologist, must take the 2-day clinical Training course to complete requirements.

Scholars who have already completed a trichology training program with another accredited institution or those who took the trichology equivalency exam and passed with a score of 80% or above may also register for the 2-Day Clinical Training Course

Do you offer an online option?

Students have the option of choosing an online/virtual option or the in-person option when enrolling in the Trichology Certification Course. either option consist of a 6-week program.

Students who participate in the online virtual option must also take the 2-day in-person clinical training to receive full certification. The 2-day hands-on clinical training is included in the price of the 6-Week Course, therefore students who have already paid tuition for the Full Trichology Training Program will receive a link to register for one of the available 2-Day Sessions upon the completion of the theory portion of the class.

The 2-Day Clinical Training is essential to ensure all students have the hands-on skills necessary to successfully practice as a certified trichologist.

Why don't you offer a 2-4 day certification for trichology?

It is impossible to learn all that you need to learn to successfully practice Trichology and effectively treat clients in 2-4 days.  If our educational institution's name is attached to your certification, then we need to ensure you obtain the proper instruction to successfully practice trichology on your own.

What is the Trichology Equivalency Exam?

The Trichology Equivalency Exam is a test out option. Prospective students have the ability to take an exam that is equivalent to the theory of the Trichology Certification Course and Final Exam. This test will assess the knowledge of the prospective candidate and show proficiency in the field of trichology. This exam can be taken online at any time. a final score of 80% or higher must be received to advance to the 2-day clinical training, which is required to obtain certification.  results of the test will be sent to school administration. Upon review, administration will send a link to register for the 2-day clinical. You are required to attend the 2-day hands-on clinical training in order to receive an official certification.

What happens after certification?

All graduates of the Kinesthetic Institute of the Skin & Scalp E.D. will have the opportunity to become board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) as holistic health practitioners. Graduates will also become members of our K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni Association. Monthly dues are required. This allows us the opportunity to be a resource to our Alumni and continue to create a community of likeminded individuals.

What are the benefits of the K.I.S.S.E.D Alumni Association?

Active members of the K.I.S.S.E.D. Alumni Association have the opportunity to be a part of a community of likeminded individuals/ their peers, have a resource for questions as they build their practice, and learn new innovations within the field of Trichology. Active Alumni members receive one complementary admission into the annual charity awards gala and are designated panelists for educational development seminars and events held worldwide by the institute.

Do I have to take the two Day Clinical?

The two-day hands on clinical is a requirement to complete certification. The clinical is held for two consecutive days at the end of the 6-week certification program. Students can qualify for a seat in the two-day clinical training in one of four ways

  1. participation in the 6-week course

  2. Completing Level 1 - Associate Trichologist Certification Course

  3. successfully passing the equivalency exam with an 80% or greater.

  4. Providing documentation of completion of an accredited trichology training program

I've already taken a trichology certification course, I just need hands-on training?

If proof of completion of an accredited trichology training program is submitted, prospective students can register for the 2-day clinical hands-on training. This training gives certified trichologists additional hands-on training to gain more confidence serving clients. We also recommend taking one of our Advanced Trichology CE Courses. These courses will give you specialized training to treat various types of alopecia and scalp conditions.
